The group meets during the day on most Mondays (not Bank Holidays), from 10.30am to approximately 3.30pm.
The venue is Meddon Village Hall, in North Devon. It’s not far off the A39; nearest towns are Bude, Holsworthy, Torrington, Bideford. Nearby villages include Welcombe (where the group was founded), Kilkhampton, Bradworthy, Woolfardisworthy (or Woolsery), Clovelly and Hartland.
Members who have their own equipment bring it along and beginners are able to use the group’s equipment and materials so that they can learn what they like and what they want to buy eventually. We have a good library of books and magazines, and excellent equipment available for members.
We welcome new members of all levels, and can offer lessons for beginners with ongoing tuition on an informal basis. Everyone in the group loves to share their skills and encourage newcomers – there’s always someone ready to help.
If you would like to become a member the fee is £25 per term. Please contact us to enquire about joining or spinning lessons.
We can make hot drinks at the hall but you’ll need to bring a lunch if you’re staying all day as there’s no shop or pub.
